Why we’re building Macia
Good hospitality deserves better tools.
Macia brings together Mitch and Jippy Bush’s experience of digital growth, real kitchens, procurement and the work that happens behind a good guest experience.
From service to systems
In 2008, Mitch and Jippy spent four months working at the Fox’s Arms in Mallorca: Mitch in the kitchen, Jippy on the bar and terrace. The operation served up to 180 covers a day. Preparation, clear handoffs and people knowing what came next mattered. Those lessons sit alongside Mitch’s experience building digital businesses, websites and automation through WeBoost and Beffer, and Jippy’s more than 20 years in procurement, suppliers, contracts and commercial governance.
Make the work simpler, not the food less personal
A thoughtful menu can have many influences without giving the team a different system for every dish. Macia is being designed around clear records, reusable ingredients, sensible stock control and practical daily actions. The aim is to help a team understand what can be prepared, what needs buying and what needs attention—so more of its energy goes into food, service and guests.
Learn in a working venue
Lebrewski is Mitch’s long-held restaurant and rock-bar vision, with Jippy helping bring it to life. It is intended to be Macia’s first proving environment: somewhere to learn from real preparation, service and purchasing. New tools should earn their place alongside useful existing systems, with the venue able to keep operating as the software develops.
Independent opportunities. Shared purpose.
Macia and Lebrewski are distinct projects with a useful connection. Partners can explore the software, the venue or both, with scope and interests agreed separately. The shared ambition is straightforward: make good hospitality easier to run, easier to discover and more rewarding for the people behind it. A well-organised kitchen should still have a soul.
